Historic Crestwood Condominiums
2840 Peachtree Rd, NW
Atlanta, Georgia 30305
This English Renaissance style brick building was constructed in 1928, then named "Canton Apartments". The building's designer is unknown though some believe it was famed Atlanta architect Philip Trammell Shutze because of the use of the same stone classical and mannerist ornaments used by on Midtown Atlanta's historic Shutze-designed Reid House. The Canton Apartment building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and converted to condominium ownership (renamed Crestwood) in 1983. There is a facade easement on the building to ensure the future preservation of its historic character.
There are approximately 29 homes in the building, some are single level and some have unique multi-level layouts. Home sizes vary from +-621 square feet to +-1,803 square feet. There is elevator service to all floors and residents have use of reserved parking garage spaces in the building behind the property.
